Reconsider the location of the bus stop outside Rutherford House School

The footpath outside the school is already very dangerous, with cars continuously crossing to enter the petrol station next to the school. This causes frequent incidents with pedestrians, including children, only a few meters from the school gates. It makes no sense to then add a bus stop in this exact same location.

This location of the bus stop is unacceptable.

That bus stop location is dangerous & totally unnecessary. Common sense!

The cycle lanes themselves are great, and increase the accessibility of Balham to kids on bikes- fantastic. However, the movement of the bus stop to directly outside the school is a concern due to the increase in pollution, which has an identifiable impact on kids lungs and learning. Please consider whether the bus stop could be repositioned elsewhere.

Please consider relocating the bus stop on the grounds stated in the petition and due to increased pollution outside a primary school. The pollution is a significant concern.

Please move to a more sensible and safe place, which is better for the whole community

1. It is inconvenient for parents and pedestrians 2. I feel esp. bad for the elderly waiting with no shelter. 3. There is a perfectly fine, covered bus stop just metres away. 4. I have seen near misses between people waiting for the bus and cyclists due to the close proximity of both.

The added pedestrian traffic from this bus stop location is extremely unsafe.

Please remove this. It has been poorly thought out and should never have been positioned there.

The removal of the disabled bay is really concerning - schools need to be accessible to all. Safety of both the RHS community and the general public is being compromised by the positioning of this bus stop.

Its a very dangerous and worrying place to have a bus stop. For crossing the road and having the cyclist too. I've nearly been knocked over and a few other people and children too. Also the congestion of people during the school day it not safe and needs to be considered.

Increased exhaust fumes are very bad especially for children and people waiting for the bus make drop off time complicated and maintaining social distancing a big problem

The road is busy and it creates traffic and is unsafe for the school.

Really not helping in terms of traffic / congestion.

Please move the bus stop from outside Rutherford House school. The extra pollution & unnecessary hazard should be have been properly considered.

The safety of children should come first.

I really think it need to go. it is a very bad location right in front of high school. They remove a disabled Bay to put a bus stop. How silly is that.

The location of this bus stop outside the school has been poorly considered with regard to safety and pollution considerations. The bus stop should be removed ASAP.

Could be dangerous with traffic and/or safety for children
