The purpose for this petition is to allow the citizens of Harrison, Arkansas to vote for the recall of Jeff Crockett of Mayor of Harrison, AR and place the Recall on the November 2011 ballot. Jeff Crockett has misrepresented himself to the public when running for office and has habitually engaged policy making detrimental to the area and people he was sworn in to serve. Some specific examples include: 1) The Road Diet, which will force the city and is residents to pay for maintenance. 2) City Trash Service, which will force the city and its residents to pay for service with a huge initial cost when adequate trash service already exists. 3) Pushing for a Clean City Ordinance which would place a $1000 per day fine on residents who did not keep their lawn below 8 inches 4) Using his status of mayor to try and contest liquor licences in order that he may be able to open his own liquor store under his wife's name. Jeff Crockett has shown time and time again disregard for the will of the people that voted for him even stating that "people who don’t like those statutes can move outside the city limits where there are none."* The people of Harrison, Arkansas have had enough and are ready to rectify this mistake by allowing the people's voices to be heard with a recall vote on the November, 2011 ballot.
