We need to take any measure possible to ensure the safety of our students and teachers, including the arming of the SRO. As a lifelong resident of the county it saddens me that the liberal leaders of the community are more worried about hurting feelings than they are protecting the residents. There was a time when the United States flag, the National Anthem, respect of teachers and the police, morality, and God were the cornerstones of being a good person. This town has taken away all of these and it has brought the building down on those that still have these values.

A professionally trained law enforcement officer,SRO, who is armed with a handgun can save lives in an active school shooting situation. PLEASE, return their ability to defend the lives of our students, staff and teachers should an active shooter situation occur in our MCCSC schools.

The school system is already being ruined by people who are confused on there gender. Let’s cool it with the politically correct and just start telling these adults they have a mental illness before they begin to teach kids the foolishness they use for attention. It’s important to keep the children safe even if some people are offended by a firearm. Those people can go to Chicago where all is safe because of the strict gun policies they have.

As a property owner in mccsc I voted to pay extra taxes to help retain teachers and programs.I will turn my yes vote in to a no if the guards aren’t reinstated

I've been watching the signatures grow. Thank you all for taking a second in your day. This decision shouldn't be based on how we feel about guns, but how prepared we are if we need to be. Once bullets start flying through our corridors, our feelings become obsolete. It's all up to the SRO and people in place for protection. The only gun in the school shouldn't be the student who brought it in concealed. What a harrowing thought.
