Kiama Netball Association supports the upgrade of the Kiama Ambulance Station however the proposed venue next to the Kiama Fire Station is not suitable or large enough for the purpose. Parents and volunteers of Kiama Netball Association and other sporting bodies already struggle with the limited parking spaces available and this is with everyone using the grassed area that the ambulance station will be built on.
Please sign this petition so that we can show our local council and minister that the site is not suitable and plans are changed.

Agree with the need for Ambulance located close to highway & services being aligned but why not use some of the SES site & facilitate parking for the netball fraternity. Never enough parking in our beloved town.
We know that the ambulance needs to be moved out of town but moving it to a sporting venue where hundreds of girls play each Saturday and parking is already horrendous with cars parked everywhere and overflowing on to the road would make it hard for both netball families and the ambulances who need plenty of room to be able get away when called to an emergency.
This will be so dangerous for the sporting associations in Kiama. Most particularly Netball and Soccer. There is already very limited parking for Sport . I don't see how an ambulance would be able to exit quickly in peak sporting times.
We often already have to park in the quarry or on the main road and running the gauntlet across the road with young children. If they take a portion of the parking space available you can guarantee they will soon be treating someone hit by a car trying to get to netball.
This site is already compromised by fire station. Netball every weekend parking extremely limited and dangerous. A huge amount has been invested to resurface courts attracts large amounts of players teams from nearby regions . The space should be solely for the facility of sport. With the leisure centre complimenting this.
Not a good position for an ambulance station next to busy Terralong and Brown street intersection.
I think the netball courts should be relocated out to the Bombo quarry site as this will become vacant in the next 12 months. Plenty of room for all those psycho netball mums to scream!

There is insufficient parking during the Saturday netball to the point that is already dangerous. The courts are also used frequently during the week for training. Decreasing the parking by means of locating the ambulance station will make the parking situation worse. Ambulances exiting the site in an emergency during these peak times will also be a hazardous situation.
