Dona Ana County Sheriff's Sgt. Joe Reynaud says there's no evidence to support a homicide, but he says the case is far from closed.LAS CRUCES - A badly decomposed body discovered Monday in the Organ Mountains has been identified as Robin Colts, who has been missing for three months, according to authorities.LAS CRUCES - Police are working to identify a dead body found early Monday morning in the Organ Mountains. The decomposed body was found near the town of Organ, in a rural area dotted with mine shafts. It was sent late Monday night to the Office of the Medical Investigator in Albuquerque for autopsy. Do a Ana Sheriff's investigators have yet to determine the gender of the individual, how and when the person died, or where exactly the body was found. Investigator Bo Nevarez declined to comment on whether Robin Colts had been ruled out as the victim. The 46-year-old woman was reported missing from her home near Organ on Feb. 15, and she was subsequently entered into the National Crime Information Center as a missing-endangered person Her nephew was arrested in April on unrelated charges. The investigation is ongoing. Almost seven months after a woman's body was found in a shallow cave near Organ, the state Office of the Medical Investigator has released its autopsy findings, and the cause of death remains undetermined. According to the autopsy, medical examiners could determine little about what happened to Colts in the three months between her disappearance and the May discovery of her body. Her underwear had been removed but she was wearing her pajama pants and shirt. Animals and insects destroyed much of her flesh but what remained showed "no obvious evidence" of being shot, stabbed or injured before death, the autopsy says. Her organs had liquefied, but a toxicology test of a tiny bit of brain tissue revealed no drugs in her system. Cold case investigator Lee Medina, who worked on Colts' disappearance while she was missing, said something doesn't seem right and it's possible she could have been murdered. "It was a pretty good-sized little cave," he said. "We had to lower a couple of detectives with a rope down there and, sure enough, we came up with the body." He said there's "no way to tell" if Colts entered the cave on her own, fell, crawled, or was taken, perhaps after she was dead. "I don't think we'll ever know if she was taken down there by anybody," Medina said. Medina said investigators don't know if she was murdered, noting she could have been left in the cave and starved to death because she couldn't climb out. Reynaud said "every lead, every allegation and every theory that we have been informed of" has been explored. "We've talked to many of the same people over and over again," Reynaud said. "I'm sure if somebody had some pertinent information, they would come forward and give it to us." The side of the family that loved Robin dearly want some answers now. He father is 74 yrs old and sick he needs to know what happened before he dies Please, Please sign this petition Thank You
