With this petition we are asking that the San Bernardino county homicide detectives, from the Victorville department, who are in charge of the investigation into the murder of Sofia Adams, consider allowing a third party investigative team to look at Sofia’s case in hopes of providing a fresh set of eyes to her murder.
As a community we have waited patiently for justice, but while we have waited we have also watched, we have watched the number of violent crimes and murders increase in the years since Sofia’s crime occurred. As a community we understand the impact that must have on you as detectives and how overwhelmed you must be. We respect the important work that you do in this community, but with every new violent crime, we lose a little more hope of ever seeing Justice for our precious Sofia.
On June 9th 2018, the three year anniversary of Sofia’s murder we organized a community action event to reach out to the show Cold Justice, you may have seen an article about our efforts in The Daily Press.
Our efforts in no way sought to undermine your investigation or to diminish your efforts, our goal was simply to try to provide you with any help possible.
A person from the show did respond, informing us that in order for them to take a look at the case, the request must come from the department.
This petition is a humble request for the department to hear our pleas for justice and possibly allow the show to take another look at the murder of this young mother by making the request to Cold Justice.
If our request cannot be honored, then we simply ask that you take another look at her case, that you remember her everyday and that you think about her growing son, who misses his mother everyday and deserves to know that the monster who took his mommy paid for their horrible crime.
