This petition is a call to action for the local RCMP, SAR, and Municipal MLA’s/MP’s to increase funding & resources for to resume search efforts for Jim Barnes & Murphy. After another young man who went missing around the same time as Jim was rescued alive in northern BC on November 26th, 2024. This young man survived over 50 days out in the wilderness, and had similar bush experience like Jim does.

We, the members of the public, recognize the demand for urgent action to bring these two home alive. Please consider allocating additional resources to expand upon previous search perimeters to assist uncovering additional information to help locate Jim & Murphy.

Let us not lose hope, miracles do happen, and Jim’s loved ones deserve closure.
