Rawlins County Economic Development for the past three years has developed a progressive and positive image for the County on a $28,000 budget, of which $14,000 comes from the County. Rawlins County is now viewed regionally as a place where young adults want to stay or return to raise their families, young people want to start their own businesses, young leaders are emerging and place were there is opportunity for the future (ie Wind Energy, Alternative Agriculture, Internet Technology, Solar / GeoThemal Energy and other emerging Technologies). Do you support this on-going change and should the County invest $39,000 or 1.3% of the total budget, an increase of $25,000 towards continuing these economic development efforts with a FT director in 2009 NOTE: This in not an actual petition but more of an opinion poll that will be shared with the commissioners.
