My name is Hannah, but you probably know me from Instagram on the somewhat popular Gotham meme account, Gothamrat. I'm 14 years old and as of now, I live with my parents and my older sister, the other older sister is currently attending college. By the next school year, both o my sisters will be living on their college campuses (which are both around 2-3 hours away from the house) and I will be alone with my parents to start my high school years. My parents aren't exactly the kind of people that you can always talk to about everything or their the parents that you're best friends with. They don't exactly like me as much as they do my sisters and that's a major problem considering that I'll have nobody very close to help me through it. (I have anxiety and manic depression, both things I can't talk to them about because they will not listen no matter how many times I try).

To help cope with this new situation, I have decided that getting a pet would be a good thing for me. Since my mother is allergic to dogs and cats, that is off the table. They told me that hamsters smell and reptiles will not be allowed in the house. My only conclusion was a rat or a few rats. I absolutely love rats and believe that they are a good pick for me. I am an honors student in school and I have taken care of birds for many years, so I am capable of taking care of more than one animal.

Hopefully, I can get enough signatures so that I can have my rat(s).
