Hi guys!

I have sent you this petition to sign because I would like you to get a pet dog. As many of you already know, my beloved puppy, Lassie, passed away in August. I have begged and begged for my parents to get another dog but they keep saying no. You are probably wondering, why should I sign this and what good does it do for me? You should sign this because I am a responsible, smart girl who really wants an adorable little puppy and I promise I will take care of the puppy all the time. Signing this will not physically be beneficial to you because I am not going to buy you a present or something, but you will get the gift of two children's happiness (mine and my brother's happiness).
