PETITION FOR PARKING LOT EXPANSION AT MILLBROOK EXHANGE TENNIS CENTER The City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation Capital improvements Project; Currently, there are 67 parking spaces (including 4 handicap) at the tennis center for the 23 courts. During the busy times of the day, (9am-11am, 6pm-8pm) there are about 3-4 players per court or 3.5 cars per court creating a need for about 80 spaces. An average of 15 cars have no parking space at the tennis center for programs offered by the tennis center. Currently, there are about 2 evenings per week with ballgames at the Millbrook Community Center forcing park participants to park on the grass. Also, there are 22 special tennis events during the year which require additional parking. During these events, players and spectators will use about additional 50 spaces creating a hazard for emergency vehicles to service the park. Additional spaces are needed now at Millbrook Exchange Tennis Center. Call to Action: Your signature supports our efforts!
