Raise the Standard in Homestead.

That’s enough!! I’m really tired of the this bottom feeder mentality. We have beautiful brand new hospital, brand new surrounding hotels and great neighborhoods yet we are choosing to diminish our progress since “Andrew”. The reason our beloved Homestead struggles to succeed is due to a “poverty mentality”. If we want our City to be at its very best we need to change our thought process and our standards. Enough is enough! It all starts at the top. Do we want thriving jobs and increased property values? Devolop a positive desire for folks to migrate to our City and cause it to thrive as it never has before! There is a mentality to attract drifters that ask us for gas money at our stations. Why is it thought that Homestead is where you just “end up” when your life is in disarray? I love our City, I love its history and I love the fact that people can dress, act, walk, talk and be who they are. But if these types of businesses continue to take claim.. the types they prey on the less fortunate and poverished, it will be a huge negative and keep stunting the growth of our wonderful and still very potential City. Stop mediocrity in its tracks now!

Please lets do better. Ex. TJ Home Goods, Chick Fil A, Target, Trader Joes or Whole Foods where President is supposed to be Please!

We need a Target, whole foods etc. Goodwill and nail salons are not going to make this city grow. There are walmarts everywhere down here already. Lees get at least one Target store.

Why don't they put a Whole Foods, instead! There's nothing like that down here. And there's already two Goodwills in the area, why add a third one.

In the last eight years, I have seen the growth of this great city of Homestead. I agree we most choose a higher quality of merchant's. We the residents of Homestead would spend our hard earned money in the town we live and invested in.

Can we have a Trader Joe's or Whole Foods instead of the El Presidente Supermarket and a TJ Maxx Homegoods instead of the Goodwill?

This stores will only set back the progress that this area has seen. Please don't set up for less.

Start looking for a realtor.. because those stores are set in stone. I recommend Amaya Castro. Knowledgeable and a go-getter. She'll sell your home, quick.

These stores will be damaging to the community bringing bad elements and bringing down our area and making it unsafe this area was going in the right direction

Please don't run our neighborhood down anymore than it already is by putting in a goodwill and Presidente supermarket. If those stores go in I am for sure selling my house.
