I drive special needs for 19 years and it’s sad that people r in such a hurry that they don’t look stop for a big bus with brite flashing lights. People leave earlier if u don’t want to get stopped by bus. Save children lives cuz it could be ur own children.
Being a school bus driver myself the fine of 250.00 is not enough take away their license for 30 days first offense second offense 60 days loss of license third offense permanent loss of license
I am a bus driver...I have this happen almost daily..... something needs to be done....
I say that whatever the fine for running a stop sign on the road in a state is, running a school bus stop sign is double that plus a 6 month suspension of their license. They also need to put cameras on buses to catch people who run them.
This would be a start but it doesn't do a whole lot of good if the cops aren't there to stop them and give them these tickets. We need the cameras on the side of our bus like stop light cameras so they can be mailed their ticket for doing it when a cop wasn't around to stop them.

As a school bus driver, child safety comes first! Everyone needs to STOP when a school bus has their red lights flashing and stop sign deployed!! Imagine if it was your child!! Pay attention...Safety first!!
