This past week, alone, we've lost too many children when they were killed while loading, or unloading, from their school bus. Bus drivers do what we can to keep our passengers safe, and when we deploy the stop arms and activate the red flashing lights, we would like to think other drivers around us will obey those signs and stop. But, as we know, ALL TOO WELL, that isn't the case. It's maddening! Let's fight to have harsher penalities and higher fines, across the country, handed out to those drivers breaking this law! Instead of a $300+ fine,let's make it $1,000, $5,000, or more! Loss of license for a year! People need to be taught a lesson here! I don't want to hear anymore stories, of one more child dying because people can't slow down, stop, and wait 60 seconds to let a child get to or from school safely!
