Whereas, Texas' Economic Stabilization Fund, also known as the Rainy Day Fund, was established by the Texas Legislature to provide funds for unexpected emergencies — not ongoing, known operating expenses.
Now therefore be it resolved, We, the undersigned, call on Texas state lawmakers to draft and pass a budget without raiding the Rainy Day Fund.
