I have been compiling the accounts shared by residents regarding the current state of the canal. These records will be presented to British Waterways to illustrate the community impact of their decision.

The momentum behind this petition highlights how much the residents of Radcliffe value the restoration of our canal. This level of interest demonstrates clearly that the current state of the waterway is a priority for our community.

Used to be a proper nice walk, now it is just neglected. Sort it out.
Total eyesore. My kids deserve a nice place to walk near home not a rubbish dump.
I see so many trolleys in the water every single day. The council needs to stop making excuses and get the area cleared for the residents.
Please just get it done. Radcliffe looks so run down because of this canal.
About time something was done here. It smells awful in the summer when the heat hits the stagnant water. Clean it up.

its a disgrace. i grew up by this canal and it used to be lovely. now i wouldnt even walk the dog down there its just filled with shopping carts and filth.
