Given the increasingly global nature of legal practice and legal institutions in the 21st century, we, the undersigned students of Quinnipiac University School of Law, petition the faculty and administration to consider instituting an international law concentration at the law school. By formalizing a concentration in international law, we can capitalize on current components of the law school curriculum, including courses in international law-related topics, the Ireland study abroad program, as well as clinical, internship and externship opportunities. We believe that pursuing the requirements of this concentration will not only enhance our knowledge and understanding of the global dimensions of law, but prepare us for increasingly prevalent and worthwhile international careers. Our signing this petition is an expression of our interest in helping the faculty and administration design and launch an international concentration, as well as our commitment to fulfilling its academic requirements.
