We believe all healthcare workers, emergency personnel who deal with the public should be bilingual. EMERGENCY SITUATIONS must be communicated in either of the official Canadian languages in Quebec. The situation that occurs daily where personnel inform patients to "speak French" is INTOLERABLE and must be corrected immediately. All personnel who deal wit the public should and must be bilingual. SO TRUE. My mom had such a hard time at the clinic last week because the nurse refused to speak English. Fix this now!!

Its dangerous when you cant communicate clearly during a medical crisis. Everyone needs to be able to understand both languages in a hospital setting.
