This petition aims to change the credentials of Law and Politics from 'BA' to 'LLB'. We believe that those who go down the qualifying route of the degree should receive an LLB rather than a BA, which can cause some confusion amongst employers.

I have been hearing from so many of you about the confusion this degree title causes during initial job applications. It feels like we are constantly explaining ourselves instead of highlighting our actual legal training when we walk into interviews.

It is about time the university recognizes the work we put in. BA just sounds less professional in the legal sector.

Since we put as much effort into studying as LLB students, our degree classification should not differ!
