We, the undersigned students of the undergraduate Economics and Business programme within SSEES, respectfully request that “with East European Studies” be removed from our course title. While we value the regional context offered by the department, the degree primarily focuses on core economics and business concepts, which are not accurately reflected in the current title. The inclusion of East European Studies misrepresents the academic emphasis of the programme and may undermine its clarity and recognition, particularly when compared to other SSEES degrees such as History, Politics and Economics, which do not include a regional qualifier. This petition demonstrates the unanimous support of the cohort for a course title that more accurately reflects the content and focus of our degree.

it’s really unfair the eastern european studies aren’t reflected in what we signed up to study!!! CHANGE TO ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS!!!

it makes it so much harder to explain my major to recruiters when the title is this confusing. just update it already.
