This is not a preferred location for such an establishment. Good God you would not let an adult business that no one would even be aware of open in an industrial area so why would you let this type of business open in a residential area that is surrounded be kids? On top of that the old building is in such a shape that it should probably be torn down. As everything else in West Chester if this were in or near Union Center it would not happen. Stop dumping all your crap on our side of West Chester.

I have a very different perspective regarding the rehab. I was a case manager and worked primarily with recovering (or so some said) addicts. I absolutely believe that a rehab is necessary, maybe even West Chester, but the location is a bad decision on multiple levels.
1. There will be visitors that come to see the patients. Let me assure you that there are some extremely shady characters that befriend heroin/drug addicts. They are oftentimes addicts themselves and that means that they are driving in the area.
2. The visitors that would be driving around children. Many children walk to school in the Lakota School District. They will be driving by the baseball field where hundreds of children are around, often crossing the street, daily. They will be next to the daycare, where parents are picking their children up. Many will be high. That is asking for an accident.
3. When dealing with addicts you are inevitably dealing with dealers. Where do you suppose those deals will take place? I will tell you. The PYO fields, the McDonalds and the Hickory Dickory Tots parking lots because that is where cars are in and out quickly.
4. When dealing with addicts you are inevitably dealing with their paraphernalia. You can count on picking up needles daily at both the daycare and PYO fields.
5. Prostitution almost always follows addiction. I do not think that is appropriate to have across the street from PYO or next to a daycare.
6. Theft should go without saying but it obviously comes with addiction. That poses a safety issue for the children this area surrounds.
One thing that is not mentioned, but is of the utmost importance, is that many of these addicts and psychiatric patients will be court ordered to this building should it go up. If an addict isn't ready to be clean he will find every sneaky way to get out of it until he hits his own rock bottom. Please don't let our children be exposed to such potentially horrific ordeals. There are plenty of areas in West

I know it needs to go somewhere but next to a daycare facility and a youth baseball field is NOT the place.

The planned use for these facilities is not appropriate for the area. Please do not allow the 30 bed facility or the 12 acre complex to be used for drug or sex rehab.

I pay high property tax to live in this safe community. I do not think at risk businesses such as this are appropriate for the chosen location.

This is a horrible place to put a rehab facility of this type. Putting it next to a daycare facility and across the street from childrens ball fields is completly ridiculous.

I am completely against the proposed location of this facility. It does not belong near daycares or little league ball fields!!!! Too risky near small children. This instead belongs at a hospital.

Locating such a facility in the midst of the community area frequented by families and children and along a very busy corridor is not ideal for anyone, including the proposed patients. It creates too much risk and temptation and the potential for an unfortunate incident.

This facility should not be located in an area that is designed to be utilized by children. This is not the right location for such a facility.

I do not want to see a Drug/Sex Rehab facility located in such close proximity to where children are cared for and educated (Hickory Dickory Tots) and where they play.
I feel that this facility would put my children at risk.
