Push Back All Deadlines, Exams, And The Exam Board by 2 Weeks.

All Departments should push back deadlines not just a few

No deadlines are being extended, lab access is restricted. University has said that they don’t want people in.

I agree with this petition.

A lot of disruption has been caused by the current situation, not only people's studies but lives in general. More time is definitely required for people to re-evaluate their projects and stay on track as we will all be dealing with personal matters at the same time.

I understand that this would be difficult to enact given issues in scheduling, however it would provide additional time to organise the online exams - useful

Students have worked too hard to be given an estimated grade. It completely unfair to all especially those sitting their GCSEs, A levels and final year University students.

Trying to study whilst being a single parent is hard enough but try doing it when you have two kids, one with a disability as well as being type one diabetic myself. These are uncertain times and we need help and time to help ourselves then worry about exams this is an added pressure no student needs at the moment

Don’t find it fair at all that each university has its own way of handling things. It should be one thing for each university - other universities are cancelling exams and trying to help students out right now - I know lots of Strathclyde students who are stressed over online lectures, deadlines and exams as well as if they’re going to have a job and have an income coming in or worrying them/their friends or family are going to get sick. I don’t believe anyone is in the right mental capacity to be worrying over exams in a situation as horrible as this.

How are we supposed to access journals and books with key information without outside access due to lockdown? Are we expected to buy journals and books at £20-50 per excerpt whilst many of us are part time workers or rely on loans to live? We need to adapt to the situation and take the advice we are being given by healthcare professionals and I personally believe the universities, not just strathclyde, need to do a lot more to alleviate the burden of assessments and exams in such a trying time for everyone not just physically if you are unwell, but mentally as well.

Especially for honours year!

Two strikes, now covid-19!

This issue is particularly relevant to final year students who have had to deal with the stress of both strike action and this outbreak. Final year students need to be given the slightest chance to do well :(

As an international student, I have to make travel arrangements ASAP because of the uncertainty of the situation, and this means having to sort out what I am doing with all of the stuff that I have in Scotland: packing some of my things, contacting storing agencies for others, etc. It is quite stressful and definitely hard to juggle with the deadlines I have this month, which is the busiest time of the year for my course I'd say.

Given current circumstances, asking final year students to carry on as normal and write dissertations is extremely unreasonable.

My flat mate has had to self isolate so I've had to go home to my parents and lack of access to the library has created stress around getting everything done before exams.

For education department, we have already had a 10 week placement, 6 student reports, an overall evaluation and a Crit. Alongside 5 other 20 credit modules. A dissertation is worth only 20 credits. Could this be made up elsewhere in this situation.
