The fact this is our final few assignments and exams that may determine our future careers, I think extensions are a must in this time of uncertainty and stress to give us the time we need to adapt.

This is a critical time for final year students. This should not be the time to be worrying about new exam formats or lack of resources, but a time to worry about health and family.

This is an extremely stressful time for all and for classes such as MG417, we are now being denied revision that we had been promised for weeks. Also I know myself and a lot of colleagues are really struggling to concentrate at the moment and feeling more and more anxious each day. Myself and other students have a lot going on now at home, such as big family decisions about stepping in as carers etc. The university really need to take into consideration everyone’s mental health at this stressful time.

During such an uncertain time I think it is fair to say an extension on deadlines and exams is to be expected - and since we don’t know the format our exams will be in yet this is even more significant. We have around a month to prepare for 4th year exams which determine our future and for some will determine job offers, it would be a shame to rely on new forms of examination in such an important circumstance without some kind of extension/additional help.

All assignment deadlines should be pushed back because there are assignments which some of us have due in which we haven’t had sufficient support because the lectures specifically devoted to them were suspended because of the outbreak of the virus.

I think given the extraordinary circumstances and to alleviate both student and staff pressure that some sort of arrangement should be made - particularly in the wake of the strikes. Additionally I feel that students and staff on zero hour contracts this is a critical moment as they half enough on their plate through financial worries!

With all the uncertainty during this time and fearing for our health whilst trying to adapt to online materials and classes, it would be useful to students to have more time for exams! 2 weeks isn’t much but better than nothing.

The circumstances arent ideal for either staff or students so i think the best thing to do is make sure everyone has a bit more time to prepare.
