Right now I'm trying to get back to my home country of Slovakia while having to move out of my flat and stay with friends. The last thing I need on my mind is the stress of exams.

Students have a hundred things on at the minute: moving home, sick family, monetary problems, stress from the circumstances and on top of it all coursework and exams. It is unbelievably difficult to concentrate at the minute. Yes this is our degrees however, it seems there are bigger issues. With lecturers transitioning to working at home, it is expected some things aren’t running perfectly just yet. A two week extension is a small ask to help smoothen the process.

This is a minor price for weeks of disruption. While some unis gave out concise info, my uni stayed open with ambiguity. We should get an extension based on the disruption during that period.

There sure needs to be at least a delay with the exams due to the disrupted teaching that has been going on these past weeks

Hi, I think it would be very beneficial for those affected by Covid-19 for exams to be pushed back! Since our studies have been disrupted and we are all still getting our heads around using the online facilities amongst all the panic and uncertainty. Thank you!

The disruption caused is not just logistical, it's mental disruption too. People have needed time to process all that is going on and adapt to the new circumstances. It has been incredibly difficult to work on projects in this time and it's reasonable to give students an extension to reflect this. We need time to refocus.

This is particularly crucial for final year students. Online exams are a new concept, bringing stress and anxiety to all students. Final year students have worked tirelessly for 5 years and for our final exams (ultimately affecting our future career) to be presented in an unfamiliar way is difficult enough on top of the additonal challenging of trying to adjust to online teaching and no face-to-face support. 2 weeks to adjust fully to new ways of working and studying in the midst of worrying times and supporting family members is the least the university could do. Please consider this.
