This petition would like fight for a permanent waiver from the hearing physical requirements to allow people with 40 DB hearing loss or better to drive.
Currently, no two medical agencies will give the same answer of what a true meaning of hearing loss is. Many people are currently going multiple trips to check on their hearing to be sure that it qualifies to drive. And, research was done in 2008 that proofs that hearing has nothing to do with safety concerns of driving an 18 wheeler truck with a Class A License.
At this time, we are asking people from all over to sign this petition to tell New York State that they need to move the needs move the A9309 bill out of the Transportation committee of the Assembly to the floor to be voted on. Because, there are no evidence of safety concern and we want New York State and many other states to join together to for a permanent waiver on hearing physical examinations in any way.

This is ridiculous. My brother has had a class A for years and is a safer driver than half the people on the road. Fix these outdated rules already.
