PUPPETEERS ARE ACTORS! George Lucas was so impressed by Frank Oz's performance as Yoda that he spent thousands of dollars on an advertising campaign to try and get Oz an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Frank Oz was ultimately rejected because it was felt that a puppeteer wasn't an actor. Lets get Puppeteers recognized in the industry. By signing this petition you agree that Puppeteers should be recognized as such by the Academy Awards.
