What a sad state of affairs when a patrol sergeant makes such a prejudice statement. Can we count on him to do his job to defend people whose lifestyles & beliefs he doesn't agree with.

I'm a former elected Texas county sheriff with 15 years law enforcement experience from the 1980s-era. It seems the Jackson County, Oregon Sheriff has a problem with community policing. While I, a "straight" male (and proud of it), may not personally like the thought of two same-sex partners copulating, I still think and know that in our present age, while natural selection is, or seems to be creating more homosexuals in response to worldwide over-population, we have no right to judge. The Bible says, "Judge not that ye be not judged." Homosexuals are citizens on an equal plane with the rest of us in the USA. They must not face discrimination from the minions of the law, i.e., those who are sworn to serve and protect all other human beings who fall within the jurisdiction of their assigned bailiwick.

I believe this officer of the law is not following the law. I also will do everything in my power to let my friends know to boycott all businesses in Medford until this officer is reprimanded.
