It makes me wonder why city council and city administration would refuse a free risk assessment....is it because they know what the results would be? Does it REALLY make sense to reduce firefighters and close a station or stations when fires burn faster and hotter????

As the city's population grows it makes little to no sense that any emergency service be reduced.

I think the City is making a huge error in its decision to cut FF staffing and possibly close Fire Stations. FF do more tha Fight fires and the idea of cutting this service will have a negative impact on the Citizens at some point in the future.

As a Ward 6 resident, with an increased home insurance rate already (since I am so far from a fire hydrant and hall), I totally BACK you in your efforts to keep our city safe! Good luck!

Scary! This is putting over community at risk and our firefighters. The risk assessment is free so let go Sault Ste. Marie go for it.

I am very concerned that our community is being left with inadequate coverage of fire and emergency services personnel.

I am a retired firefighter from the city of Sault Ste. Marie and, think it is very sad that the city is willing to gamble with public safety to save a few dollars!!

I want a full independent study to take place in order to ensure that my family is not at risk with this strategy. I beleive firefighters should be recruited and hired from available Sault Ste Marie inhabitants and am not in agreement with outsiders coming to our city for this type of employment. I support the brave and hard working men and women of our fire department and EMT personnel.
It's a bad plan built on lies.
Fire the fm chief.
These cuts are not morally or practially sound.
