Gig Harbor is a growing, active town. Currently, the closest public outdoor pool for summer fun is over the bridge in Tacoma. We believe an outdoor public pool in Gig Harbor would benefit our community in many ways. Swimming is beneficial and fun for all ages from babies to senior citizens. A community pool would offer a safe, fun place for our youth to enjoy while creating summer jobs for high school and college students and encouraging friendships and exercise for all of our young families. If you would like to see a public outdoor pool in our town of Gig Harbor, please sign this petition and share with others in the area (Olalla, Port Orchard etc...) This petition will hopefully serve as a voice to present to our Parks and Recreation Department to communicate our desire to make Gig Harbor even more appealing with the addition of this community space.
