Everyone deserves the resovoir. Without us tax payers it wouldn't be there now would it?

For Years there was a Public Boat Access off of the West End of Woolridge Road. Also someone was maintaining this access.....Was it the County Of Chesterfield? If so ,I believe that this would establish "A Past Practice"? Hope this will help because someone was maintaining it until Woolridge Road was widened several years ago.

I am 51 years old and have been fishing the swift creek reservoir since i was about 10 or 12 with a john boat. I have been out of fishing for about 2 years and just got back into fishing and was very disappointed to find all the location blocked off. Like all of you i am a long time Chesterfield resident and believe that it is our right as tax payers and water consumers to have access to this lake. As long as there are not any no trespassing signs posted around multiple location that I can carry my boat to I will be in the water.

Ive lived in Chesterfield for the past 30 years, the elitist mentality regarding non Brandermill use of the resevoir has gone on LONG enough! Every taxpayer in this county denied use of the resevoir has legal rights, and should not stop until they are fulfilled. legal recourse seems to be only way to have the same rights as Brandermill and Woodlake residents. Lets do it!!!!!!

We need public access to sail boats and kayaks. They do not damage the environment and the reservoir is often empty.

just saw for the meeting info, wish I would of known I would of been there, sorry I didn't get the message until 10pm
Tax payers deserve access to this body or water. If tax money went to create it, it needs to be accessible, or the County needs to be reembursed with interest.
Yet another example of local government bullying. It is unfortunate that Chesterfield County officials turn their backs to those that elected them. Time for a new generation, not idling with the 60's mentality.
