It should definately be free to enter - this is so important for York citizens and our tourists. I thought a kind donation - would be enough to enter the Art Gallery!

Setting this price for entry to local arts will stop local people accessing them. The art gallery & museums will only be visited by tourists.

public art gallery should be like a public park - part of what gives an area a good quality of life, to renew the spirit over and over, not just on one off special occasions. Much of the work was donated believing everyone would have access. I'd be happy to pay for extras - eg. exhibitions that cost to bring them here.

Access to art should be free to all interested. Charges will limit entry to all but the well-off. Families with children will be penalised.
