We, as citizens concerned with education, would support the approval of Paul S. Morton Performing Arts Academy Charter School who has as its mission: At the forefront of our efforts is Southwest Atlanta, a community in need of systemic growth and improvements. The Paul S Morton Performing Arts Academy will be ideally positioned to impact change in the community by establishing a child-centered, high performance school that exceeds established expectations.  The Paul S Morton Performing Arts Academy will offer an educational experience that will foster intellectual development.  The comprehensive curriculum will incorporate a performing arts program that will enhance students’ creative talents while allowing them to develop the academic proficiency and strong moral character needed to succeed in life as responsible citizens and contributing members of society. 

We understand that the founding committee of The Paul S Morton Performing Arts Academy is working closely with the Atlanta Public Schools and the Georgia Board of Education to establish this proposed charter school that will meet the highest standards of excellence for the families in this area. 

We realize that by signing we are not guaranteed admission to the school; however, we support Paul S. Morton Performing Arts Academy Charter School’s mission to provide the Southwest Atlanta community with a school that will maintain high standards for the education of our youth. WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, HEREBY PETITION the Atlanta Public Schools to establish the Paul S. Morton Performing Arts Academy in the Southwest Atlanta Area.
