Protect Rural Escondido's Community Character

We need to stop the uncontrolled growth happening in our town. Next to developments I see destruction of our native trees, there is wildlife being displaced and the ROADS ARE OVER CROWDED. And what about the water??? STOP THE GROWTH!

As an Escondido resident, I think it's shameful that the city would give a company who has no previous stake in Escondido a prime piece of land while displacing softball players who use this complex religiously. We are betting on Hockey and figure skating being long term successes here, otherwise Escondido tax payers will be footing the bill to clean up the mess. I just don't see it being popular for more than a few years. The park will never be the same, and we'll have yet another empty bldg

I loved fishing in eagle pond in the park, although through the lake Hodges damn break the pond was drained and the fish killed off, it is still of great importance to me and my parents who go on walks there every other week

Find a better location! Park land is protected land! This would be a traffic nightmare! Bear Valley goes to ONE lane and cannot even support school traffic and normal rush hour!

San Diego has an important responsibility to maintain open space parks for its citizens amidst a whole host of property developments and urbanization efforts. Kit Carson is an important part of our community as a multi-use sports park and recreational area. It’s rare to have both undeveloped wild and facilities side by side, and the degree to which we disturb the natural setting should be minimized to our best capability. Thank you.
