Departure Bay Rd is more like a highway than a residential road. With two more condos under construction there will be even more traffic, noise and pollution.

Have a house near Dep Bay beach and the racing cars, loud exhaust roaring and crazy driving has been destructive to the peace and safety of the area.

This is a problem everywhere. We need more law enforcement. I can't remember the last time I saw speed trap.

I live right across from Departure Bay Beach beach and I love the vibrancy of the beach and the community! I think choosing to live here means you expect to hear the beach life around you during the day and into the evening especially in the Summer ☀️ BUT ..the late night mayhem of extremely loud cars , even louder bikes , excessive speed, thumping music, street racing and revving , polluting vehicles, car honking for no reason, etc..etc..makes sleep and any form of nightly peace impossible.

I don't live in the immediate area, but love being in beautiful Departure Bay. The kind of behavior and lack of community respect described by others is unacceptable.

Hazards to all road users and ncessant drowning put of all thought, conversation or ability to enjoy our living environment due to the actions of a few sociopathic monsters who threaten our city.

Speed is my number one. As a former police chief once explained - at 30km/hr you might break a leg, at 40 they might end up in a coma, at 50, you might become a killer.

Speedsters are a nightmare at Departure Bay Beach. There are young kids running across the road to buy a cold drink, mothers with baby strollers and seniors who cannot jump out of the way as quickly as others. Speed limit should be 30km/hr, especially with the playground right there. We do need to have this enforced with police presence. Allowing a lustre next to the Co-op was a very poor decision.

The only focus in the world is drugs drugs drugs and these very important issues need to absolutely be addressed for the ones that are living our lives and raising our children without drugs
