Traffic congestion and illegal e-dirt bike riders are so frustrating to see. Police presence is needed.

If nothing is done, injuries to pedestrians will continue. There is no justification for continued inaction. Solutions exist for this problem. The city needs to stop rationalizing and start implementing them.

Departure Bay beach is a playground and park area where the speed limit should be 30km/h and traffic calming like raised crosswalks are needed.

If drivers can't obey traffic signs then it's time for speed bumps

In the scenic area l like departure Bay, people tend to looki over at the water more than ever areas. I have come close to being hit by cars there. Also the speed limit signs change so fast it's extremely confusing. Speed bumps!

My grandfather and now father live in departure bay and the traffic revving and the speed on the road are horrendous. It has bothered me since I was a young kid and continues to do this day. It is dangerous.

We need safer streets, crosswalks and sidewalks, so people, including the two child who where struck by a vehicle, can access the departure Bay Area SAFELY.

The pedestrian accidents that have occurred should be enough for the city to take action. It is unconscionable that there were no further speed controls, put in place after the Loat St accident 2 years ago. I know that family. I drive through Departure Bay every day on the way to work and home and see the inattention and near misses. And now the recent accident, plus the frequent ones at the corner of Hammond Bay. Cyclist hit. 3 car accident with children. FIX THIS.

The loud concerts totally spoiled the summer last year. I didn't hear one song I recognised. Way too loud. I'm far from the beach area and had to keep my doors closed. Peace please.

The excessively loud cars and trucks in the middle of the night in Nanaimo is wild. I have never experienced car noise like this until moving here. There needs to be much stricter noise and safety enforcement in Departure Bay, and also in the city as a whole.

How many people have to be seriously injured by this stretch of road before the city does something more substantial to prevent MVA's on this road....
