Stratford schools are once again on the chopping block. Due to expected budget shortfalls for the 2011-12 school year, it is possible that one or more schools may be closed.

This will impact ALL schools in our town, as students from closed school(s) will need to be placed somewhere, thus increasing class sizes and impacting the quality of education received by all. It will also hurt the town's ability to attract young families to seek residence here and ultimately jeopardize the value of homes.

 As concerned parents, taxpayers and members of the Stratford community at large, we, the undersigned, urge Mayor Harkins, the town council and the Board of Education to fully fund the education budget and KEEP ALL STRATFORD SCHOOLS OPEN!
