The government has finally backed down and confirmed that our pension contribution rates will remain as they are. I am drained from this fight but the outcome is exactly what we needed. Stay alert because we proved that they cannot change our terms without expecting a massive outcry.

This is a very real possibility and something we all need to be very concerned about....I am not scaremongering; read further about this, and you will see the problem.
Did you realise that Police Penions are not negotiable - in other words the Police Negotiating Board can do nothing about any Government decision to change our Pensions! Whilst pay and conditions go to negotiation, our Pensions do not - so NOW IS THE TIME TO ACT !!

We hit one thousand signatures today. The fatigue is setting in but seeing that number helps me keep going when the pushback gets heavy.

The past few days have been draining but reaching one hundred signatures proves that others are just as worried about these pensions as I am. It is a long road ahead and I am tired of the silence from officials but we keep pushing forward.

Ridiculous. They keep our streets safe and the government treats them like garbage.
Fair pay for a fair days work. The government needs to find money elsewhere.
absolute disgrace. officers do a job most people couldnt handle. protect their future
Never see them complaining but they work insane hours and deal with stuff you wouldnt want to see. leave the pensions alone.
about time we stood up for the thin blue line. stop robbing the ones who serve us!!!

My husband has put his life on the line for 25 years. They earned every penny. Hands off.
