Full disclosure to the buyers -- they need to be informed that the home is near an airport and that the airport is a valuable community resource.

Jefferson Co Airport is a vital community resource. It has a very nice museum and on airport resturant which many people enjoy. I have had many nice visits with the people who live in the community at the resturant.

As a neighbor of the Jefferson Co Airport I think its important that we care for the much needed community resource, and its necessary to keep it functional.

I’m an aviator and fly around the northwest to small airports.
You have a wonderful facility there at Jefferson County, don’t put restrictions and unnecessary laws on this fine northwest airport, a nice restaurant and museum are all part of tourism to your county.

Disclosure of the location of the existing airport is only fair and reasonable to the buyers of these properties.

Dear Jefferson County Planning Commission:
Jefferson County International Airport has been a gateway for my family for years. We have visited by plane on multiple occasions to the local businesses -- enriching our lives while gladly helping the local economy. Let's make sure that whatever action takes place ensure the long-term viability of this airport. I thank you for your thoughtful consideration.
Sincerely,
Brian Makar

The airport has been there for years. Make purchasers of houses sign that they are aware that airplanes make noise and that they will hear them. No signature, no sale.

There are a number of concerns I have regarding this proposed residential community including it's impact on the airport as well as run off, increase traffic and wetlands protection for the surrounding properties.

Airports like Jefferson County International are a gateway to these communities and bring significant revenue to the area through tourism and infrastructure. 0S9, in particular, brings folks from all around the region to the area. Do not let residential housing development dictate the future of this thriving airport; let future buyers know what exists and stop a problem before it starts!

Port Townsend Commision,
I echo the sentiments of hundreds of others that have expressed their concerns of the proposed residential development.
Do not let the proposed and future developments in the community jeopardize Jefferson County International Airport.
Respectfully,
Suzanne Omegna

I support all measures to avoid future restrictions on pilots, procedures, hours of operation or any moves or measures now that will later contribute to any restriction or closure of Jefferson County airport

This is a proactive move to keep the airport integrated into the local community and vice versa. Future home-buyers should be informed and excited about the community they will be moving into, and this proposal helps promote that!

Jefferson County airport provides a critical link to residents and visitors on the Olympic peninsula. The airport should be protected and individuals moving under the flight paths to and from the airport should be informed of the presence of the airport.
