Updates

I walked down to the water yesterday and it is painful to see the damage that has already been done to the shoreline I grew up protecting. My neighbors have been reaching out privately to share their own photos of the destruction and those images remind me exactly why we cannot let those condos go up at Honey Bear Bay.

My family has walked these shores for generations and watching the current destruction breaks my heart. We are knocking on the door of one hundred signatures so please send this link to your neighbors right now to help us show the county that our lake is worth saving.

This landowner is arrogantly thumbing his nose at the laws that were created to protect the shore land and lake. He should not be allowed to build anything other than a single family home on this property AND he should be required to fully restore the shoreland trees and shrubs to the DNR's satisfaction, regardless of the cost to him. Anything less is unacceptable.

If they broke the ordinance they should pay the price plain and simple. No exceptions.

Keep the condos out of the lake district. We moved here for the nature not to look at some massive apartment complex.

The tree removal was a total disaster. Needs to be put back the way it was before even thinking about new construction.

Powers Lake needs to be protected from this kind of greed. Stop the building now.

THESE RULES EXIST FOR A REASON. Quit letting developers walk all over the neighborhood code.
