I've watched the farm lands and woodlands in Allentown be overwhelmed and overcome by housing development for decades. It is time to stop this development, not accelerate it. Please do not circumvent the existing zoning with the Alternative Subdivision provision. Please keep an eye to the future of food production, not short term profit.

We bought in Buffalo Ridge due to the county 1 acre zoning around the area. It is unforgivable to not obey the county regulations on setbacks and 1 acre per dwelling. We will find which commissioners support this and vote you out!

We like Santa Rosa County because it is somewhat small. But it's growing way too fast!!! And the more trees you remove, the hotter this area is going to get. I saw it happen in Oregon. When I was growing up there in the 60s and 70s, a hot day was 75 degrees. Now it commonly gets into the 90s. Slow the growth now in SRC before it's too late.

County Commissioners don’t care about us. They care about their bank accounts. They are approving these type of things to make their privately owned land more valuable so they can sell them to a land developer. The proof is in Pace. That area is now so overcrowded that most people try to find an alternate route instead of going through there. And it won’t stop. The new connector road is already being looked at for development. Take a close look at who owns that land. Please sign this petition. It is for our children and grandchildren’s future.

I moved to Jay from South, Florida because our farmlands were destroyed by developers buying all the farmlands and over building the end results were overpopulated areas and increased crime.

I have seen too many land developers buy farm land only to cram in houses and subdivisions that are not sound in regard to drainage and traffic. In the end, the tax payers are left with the financial burdens to fix the problems left behind.

Enough is enough with all the developing , I was born and raised here in Santa Rosa and it’s unrecognizable and ridiculous ! All the high volume traffic , the dirt roads I grown up riding all being paved , the farm lands that are all so beautiful and productive are becoming less and less pretty soon us fine folks of Santa Rosa and chumuckla and jay will be surrounded and overwhelmed by commercial and subdivisions till the will be no more peaceful country living I back this petition 100% and I hope the Goal of deleting the country land development code happens!!!
