I am asking that you reject the proposal, honour the Neighbourhood Plan and revive the Breach of Condition Notice to force the Developers to create the Nature Reserve the village was promised 10 years ago.

The original agreement and plan should be adhered to, and this alternative which benefits only the developers, rejected.

This land must remain as agreed.

The council should reject this and enforce the already breached condition 19 - they have had years to do this. The grassland is an important habitat for local wildlife including the owls that hunt here. It's a buffer to the lower plain that floods regularly.

Build the nature reserve where it was promised, not moved to the lower flood level

The Stour valley is an area of country full of wildlife, beautiful trees and wildflowers. We need to protect our environment for future generations. I understand there is pressure to build new homes but we need to take care of the wildlife for whom this is their habitat. I understand that the Martingale development was offset against this upper field - thus preventing further development. The lower field frequently floods when the river is full from increase rain so this seems to happen with greater frequency these days. In addition there have been a number of new homes built in the village behind the church not that long ago. In addition more houses means many more cars and traffic putting children who may be playing out and elders at risk of accidents

Why didn’t the council enforce the original offset for the Martingale Estate. This sleight of hand should not be allowed.

The original conditions should be complied with before any further changes

I live next door to this "grazing land". It performs a valuable function in separating the existing housing estate from the floodplain. We greatly value the great crested newts, grass snakes, toads, harvest mice and other protected species that come across the field into the garden. I have seen barn owls there (have photo). A fortnight ago we saw an otter crossing the flood plain. We get kingfishers, cormorants and white egrets in the river. The grazing land is essential as a broad wildlife corridor that does not flood and is not intensively farmed.

I object

A variety of birds which are known to be in low numbers, along with deer which regularly graze near the houses adjacent to the field require protection.

I object to the proposed change of use. Leave the village alone. A Neighbourhood Plan is in place. Honour it.

I suspect if permission is granted for this application it will be followed by a further application to build more houses. Newbold has more than met it's commitment to the erection of new properties. The current infrastructure in terms of sewerage cannot cope with existing volumes yet alone adding more homes to the system. Raw sewage has again overflowed into the Stour on numerous occasions in 2026.

Totally appose this - would ruin our village and wildlife.
