This is so wrong, Carbon Reserves are meant to address environmental issues and help in reversing the effects of Climate Change not to be used as a basis for someone's retirement policy!

I strongly oppose the misuse of carbon credit revenues for MPs’ pensions, as these funds should be strictly reserved for climate action and national development.

These funds are intended to cushion the fight against climate impact, promote adaptation, and support mitigation efforts. Using them otherwise would be unwise and could hinder the country’s ability to meet its climate and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) commitments.

This is a grace atrocity to our environment and an unfair use of funds meant to protect our planet. These leaders must do better! It’s a shame to see them doing such evil. A big disgrace.

It's unthinkable and murderous to use up money intended for climate resilient and as a citizenry who pledges for the betterment of my country Ghana now and in the future stands against this move

The proposal to use carbon credit revenues for MPs' pensions is a complete betrayal of Ghana’s climate commitments. These funds are meant for climate action, not personal benefits. Diverting them undermines our fight against climate change and weakens our ability to meet emission reduction targets. Parliament must revoke this decision immediately! I stand with the Youth Climate Council Ghana in rejecting this move, and I will be signing the petition. Our future depends on real climate action, not political convenience.

Channeling funds that are supposed to be designated towards sustainability to funding MP’s pension scheme undermine Ghana’s sustainability efforts now, the future and yet to be born generations.
