Ghana is a country with higher risk in relation to climate crisis due to our low adaptability and financially lacking the resources. Therefore we must intentionally secure our now and future through resilience and appropriateness of our resources and donations received.

The earth is ours and we have the responsibility to safeguard it. Climate action is necessary for survival and therefore we should invest more in it instead of using climate funds for what’s it’s not intended for.

We deserve better with the climate funds. Instead of investing into solutions, we plan to invest in partying. That’s low key thinking.

It is a misplaced priority to divert the climate fund to an area where the individuals involved can properly plan their pension or retirement days. They have all the resource to do that. Climate change is real and we can't deny its impact in Ghana and Africa.

MPs already have more than enough remuneration. They should be trained to start businesses. The average Ghanaian must work for 16 years to get the MPs salary, allowances and other remuneration available to them per month. We must consider sustainability and the future generations. We say no to using funds meant for climate action to finance MPs pension. Let's consider the future and stop the greed of politicians. Ex-gratia is enough. The ex-gratia they get after four years is 5000% bigger than the pension of someone who worked for 38 years.

Our MPs earned enough money that puts them among the top 1% earners in this country. They also take home a substantial amount as exgratia every 4 years and subsidized loans for V8 vehicles. Our climate funds must not be used for lifestyle. They like every other Ghannaian should make pension contributions and investments from the huge incomes they earn which a generation of vast majority of the citizens cannot make.
