The council has officially committed to funding our local vaccination projects and I am honestly still in shock that this actually happened. None of this would be possible without the kindness of the people who stood behind me when I first started this. Now the real work of keeping a …

The "pilot culls" of badgers in Gloucestershire in 2013 have led many people to seriously question the humanity, efficiency and cost of this method of "controlling" bTB, especially as it has been condemned by so many leading and reputable scientists.

This petition calls on Forest of Dean District Council to assist with an alternative strategy which is already working across Wales and in many parts of England.

We, the undersigned, call on Forest of Dean District Council to give financial support to local badger vaccination projects being undertaken and to financially assist other badger vaccination projects which may be set up in the future.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have joined this effort since I started it. We are only a few signatures away from the first hundred and it is entirely thanks to your willingness to speak up for these animals.

Have loved visiting and walking through the Forest of Dean - Please, Members of the Council support a vaccination program and stop the inhumanity of these appalling culls.

After the badger cull fiasco and its dramatic failure, attempts are still being made by a few to pursue it, for political expediency with no scientific justification whatsoever, inspite of our howls of protest. I would therefore ask you to support vaccination, to preserve rather than erradicate this iconic species.

Diseases are not controlled by killing but they can be defeated with vaccination. Please lead the way with insisting on vaccination for our badgers.

killing badgers which are more than likely healthy is pointless. A vaccination programme for badgers is the only way forward although vaccinating cattle and better biosecurity would be the best way to end bTB

Living in the middle of the cull zone, I had to put up with the constant police escorts while out, the worry of meeting men with guns while walking, and the upset of hearing gunshots around me. Enough is enough, It's obvious that it didn't work. Try to repair the damage to communities and vaccinate badgers and end this awful cull.

The council has already made its land a no cull zone but it now needs to go one step further and support vaccination to help stop the cull going ahead this year.

If Stroud can make the decision not to kill (Cull) then so can you.

We are, hopefully, moving to the country shortly and hope that our council will protect the local wildlife. Please sign up to the alternative method and prevent the terrible 'shotgun' solution in our beautiful countryside.
