Anxiety levels keep growing in our community over the fear of gun violence in our schools. This is a real problem in America. As law makers in Federal and State governments continue to debate what should be done over gun laws the very real concern of what will happen in one of our schools is not effectively being addressed.

One thing that our community should not have to worry about is some one making false threats on social media, over the phone, via email or in conversation!

These incidents happen over and over. Many schools have suffered multiple false reports perpetrated by immature and or disgruntled students, parents or community members.

For the most part these perpetrators are NOT being prosecuted. The impact of this leniency are repeated false threats and copy cat behavior.

This must stop.

Making false threats is not funny. It is not a joke. It is a crime and must be treated that way.
