I'm a 1976 graduate of SHS. Lets keep the recognition of who we are. Excell within the school. But leave the name as is.

I am all for the change in academics for Alma Matter. However, to change the name is preposterous. The name holds so much history! Let's keep the name and the SHS pride! We shall ever praise that blue and white!

The school is historical and does not need to have the name misconstrued in any way. It is Savannah High and should remain that even if the decision to add the Career Center East is made official. The addition should come after the official name. Changing the location was the last straw and we stand in agreement that the name should not be lost along the way.

I didn't go to the school, but it would have been my home school. My mom, brother, sister, and friends all graduated from Savannah High School. I don't think it's right change the name of the school. It's apart of history.

I oppose the renaming. Why does it need to be renamed? leave it as it is and move on. No need to rename THIS school.

I am a proud Savannah High Alumni. So are my mother and my grandmother. I love the preservation of a school I still love but changing the name is not acceptable. It's historical and should remain SHS. We pride ourselves on preserving history in Savannah, preserve our Alma Mater!

I am a PROUD alumni of Savannah High School! I have soo many memories at this school and I don't want it all to be erased. As alumni we hold Savannah High dear to our hearts and renaming the school will just ruined everything we have build. I am very happy about how the school as grown academically but the name change is what I have a problem with. Many schools around Savannah have different programs , like Johnson's IB program and Jenkins' engineering program, but we all know the names of those schools remained the same. The location has already changed from Washington Ave. to have another school housed in the original building, why take the only thing left of its original state. NO NAME CHANGE
