I am against the name changing. Not one high school in Chatham County had to change their name so why should we. Class of 9T5 SHS Bluejackets

I believe it's a little late to change it now. That conversation should have happened when the "New Savannah High" was built and named. Now people are used to it the way it is and you want to change it. The games have to stop. People are human and have emotions and attachments. That name alone is steeped in history, generations of families have graduated under that name and now, without a new building, you want to just change the name. Not sure what the reasoning is behind it, but let's get it together! No new name. It's time to stop playing with people's emotions.

I attended this school when it was on 500 Washibgton Ave. It has a lot of history & was already moved from its original location. Let's not erase the memory all together.
