Hello, and thank you for clicking on this link.

As a player of Movie Battles 2, a modification for the Star Wars game Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, I have been enjoying both the shooting and (occasionally) sabering aspect of the game very much.

Up until now.

As of recently, new coders have begun to edit the mechanics and gameplay of Movie Battles. The old coders are retired and officially working, and have left the game in the hands of poorly-knowledged and rather inexperienced workers who have no idea about the functions and system behind lightsaber dueling in Movie Battles. This is the principle issue I, and hundreds of others are facing with the game.

Sabering has completely broken. Logic and intelligence were required to duel in the game,  and you actually had to work up your abilities and skills in order to dominate fellow opponents in lightsaber combat. Now, the functions have been exposed and destroyed completely: in the game, you are given three certain styles, the high-defense, low-offensive  Blue saber style, and the mild-defensive, highly-offensive yellow sabering style, and at last, the low-defense, extremely-offensive Red style. The red style in this game has been revamped and ruined (no alliteration intended). Players, when their defense is knocked down by the edited Red style, which reduces the players block points by half in one strike, have their lightsaber lowered in a dagger-like form, taking away the defense completely, and ruining the intelligence of lightsaber battle in MB2, and is the main issue and problem with the new update in the game, and principle concept of the lightsaber. In all the movies, when I have seen a Jedi or Sith lose, I have never witnessed the lightsaber being robbed of it's defensive capabilities COMPLETELY, and, above all, the old idea was much better and should stay the same way.

However, without being subjective, there are positives that were introduced in the game, which I am thankful for, however, if it were not for the sabering issue, then I would not be upest as much as many other staunch Movie Battles fans like me.

On a last note, I ask you to sign this petition as a gaming or even film fan of Star Wars. It would mean a lot to know that, after a long day of work, college, school, or general nothing-ness, we have a game that has held a place in our hearts and hands (mouse and keyboard-wise) ruined by inexperienced and ignorant coders who have no idea about the notions and concepts of Movie Battles and it's brilliant logic.

Yours sincerely, faitful Movie Battles 2 player and troll,
