Project R:Pi is a brand new one of a kind venture, working with students from preselected institutions. Please note, unless you are at one of our trial institutions, you will NOT be eligible to enter this challenge.
Dream Big. Create an Idea- ANY IDEA and we may help you build it, protect it, and gain recognition for it. Project RPi allows you think up any product you would like to create, and if it’s feasible, will invite you to an 8 hour Lock-In where we will give you all the equipment you need, a host of advice, and experts on hand to help you build and create your idea. The only Rule? Your project must use a Raspberry Pi.
Don’t get confused! The Raspberry Pi is a credit-card sized single-board computer and has a whole lot of potential. You can use it as a full blown computer (just add keyboard, screen and mouse), put it with a pi-cam to use as a camera to take photos or film, or use it as a control device for engineering or robotics style projects.
How to enter
1. Decide whether to work alone or in a team.
2. Pick an idea – It can be similar or the same as something already built with the Raspberry Pi, or it can be entirely original!
3. Submit your Idea! – A little research is always a good idea. If you don’t mention the equipment you need we cannot provide it!
Deadline: 20th December 2013
4. Then we will let you know if you have been chosen to take part in the Lock-IN where we give you the Raspberry Pi, additional stated equipment, experts and pizza!
5. Once the project is built, we invite you to the prestigious Future Entrepreneur Awards for a fantastic free evening of entertainment, 5*dining and awards.

The momentum for Project R:Pi has reached a new level. Post the petition link on Facebook and text three friends who need to get involved. Email your campus representatives today to demand they prioritize this funding.

Finally something useful for us at USW. Hope they pick my project idea, it would be so cool to get help from the experts.
Awesome. been looking for a reason to learn more about coding and robotics. really hope this gets the funding it needs.
Why not? The tech is cheap and the learning curve is huge. Great project.
The 8 hour lock-in sounds intense but honestly sounds like a blast. Need more stuff like this on campus.
This is such a sick idea. Always wanted to mess around with a Pi but never had the excuse or the parts. Count me in.

just verified my email, really hope this happens. so many of us have ideas but no gear to actually build them.
