ISRC operation hours during weekdays are only during office hours and most of the time, students should go off from library at 4.45pm. Which means, the library closes at 5pm. While limitation of this operation time, students are unable to do their discussions and other academic reference works that usually are done in library, after 5pm onwards. Based on the information gathered, its stated that almost 70% of UniKL libraries operating until 9.45 pm or 10.15pm. Based on the same source, its stated that UniKL MICET library operates till 9.45pm, and open on saturday from 9am to 1pm (http://library.unikl.edu.my/equip-unikl/custom/hours.jsp). Thus, this petition is based on many demands by student, as follows. 1) students carry on group discussion at student cafe, a place for food turn into a multipurpose hall for discussion, meeting and etc. noisy most of the time, no reference provided as in library. 2) Hostel wifi - unstable most of the time. students often go out to get good wifi strength. Why ? everyone understand this problem very well. With library operate till 10pm, student can get constant speed internet access at library after class hours 3) Discussion room on the second floor of library can be utilized equally and fully by students. Most of the time, discussion room is reserved early and only available until 5pm. This limitation causes the inefficiency of the discussion room. if library could operate till 10pm, now more people or everyone can use this place for discussion. 4) Personal study time- Student can get more focus with library environment. Personal study table provided in reference room can be fully utilized. Students got no else place to study other than hostel room or cafe which could cause lack of focus and unsuitable environment. Thus, library is the best option to go for. 5) Promotes good campus lifestyle- While library could open till 10pm, student can get extra time to focus on their academic works, utilizing library as a place beyond academic purposes.
