Without pro-grant engagement events it would be difficult for me to access resources. I have attended pro-grant event where I have learned how to raise resilient children, about cyber safety, how to assist children with mental health issues, the importance of good nutrition and so many other topics.

Pro grant gives us an opportunity to reach out and engage our parent community. Nothing is free in life and we are at a school of 270 children. Fundraising is challenging and the money makes a significant impact on what we are able to do. With out, we are unable to do anything for just the parents. Please keep this grant alive.

Our students need support and resources which is what we use these pro-grants for. Anti-bullying, online safety, and being able to instil important values are necessary to ensure these kids don’t become the province’s problem later, why does the government not see this as a positive thing for the greater good?

Parent engagement is key to a child's learning success. ProGrant offered a means to support this engagement. Taking it away with no alternative is shameful. Keep the ProGrant alive!

The Progrant program is an integral part of our education program to engage students and parents in enlightening everyone on subjects pertaining to everyday life issues such as mental wellness, finance, bullying prevention, literacy , computer and social media awareness. Information and education is priceless in mentoring our students in positive contributors of our society.

Parent engagement facilitates the success of our children. PRO Grants help unify the parent and school community, thereby improving our children's learning and investing in our future. I fully support ongoing PRO Grant funding for Ontario Education and ask that the provincial government do the same.

Progranta are critical to parental engagement and give valuable monies (1000 per school) that enable a school to develop and implement an event that gets parents involved . Studies show that stifents have a better success rate when parents are involved engaged in the process . A huge contradiction as the premier who put students and families at risk with health and physical education curriculum recall based on the premise that parents weren't involved and need to be . Now recalling pro grants rhat engaged parents and had results???? Dont get it..dont get him!! Sad day for education and families

I am in support of this petition to release PROGrant Funds. PRO Grants has helped bring awareness of important and timely topics that affect our children, to the parent community. Many topics would otherwise be unknown or misunderstood by many parents. By bringing awareness to these topics, good conversations begin amongst parents encouraging a sharing of information as well as between parents and their children encouraging communication and information. Good conversations build stronger, more engaged and safer communities and in the end grow engaged, aware and informed children. $34.7M over 12 years renders a $2.8M average per year across Ontario's almost 4,000 elementary schools - a drop in the bucket. Surely there are less important areas of the province's spending that could turn up $2.8M per year.
